The Palasenna, has a capacity of 800 spectators. The structure is used by the Montesilvano Town to minor sports from futsal to the Hockey Track to educational institutions.
The quality of the renovations have made the Palasenna a real gem; the wooden bottom, the two side stands and the arrangement of benches, external to the pitch, make multifunctional the structure; it’s not a coincidence the fence has been designed with wooden bulkheads to prevent the leakage of the ball and the playing field, as required by the Hockey game.
The Palasenna is one of the structures used by local and national futsal clubs, as the Montesilvano Calcio a 5, the Acqua & Sapone, for youth categories, who train and dispute the championship matches.
In October 2014, the new Palasenna, renovated and revisited, returned to operation, hosting the women’s National Skating and Hockey team.
The extraordinary thing is the punctuality with which the new Palasenna is released, one day before the race. The installation of the new flooring was completed on the last day of the works; in addition to redeveloping the plant, the works led to the adaptation of the structure in accordance with the fire prevention regulation. The entire area outside the building was also cleaned up with the pruning of the hedges and the removal of the abandoned material in the area in front of the building.
The Municipality of Montesilvano, only a few months ago, first applied, in front of the Italian Hockey and Skating Federation, to host the women’s rink hockey world championships in 2016 and the arrival of the women’s national team confirmed the goal.
